Muni Fare Increases
Posted by: MarkScardina - 05-30-2017, 12:33 PM - Forum: City Meetings and Events - No Replies

FWe hope you enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend.  This is a reminder that beginning July 1, 2017, Muni fare increases will go into effect across the board with only Cable Car and multiple-day Passport fares remaining the same. Paratransit fares will increase as well.Fare change details below:   [Image: table-for-fare-change-email-schedule-gov...iginal.jpg]The July1 fare change is part of the SFMTA Board of Director’s mandated automatic fare indexing policy, which allows us to adjust Muni fares to keep up with inflation and labor costs. All fare changes can be found on our Fares and Passes webpage. These fare changes are aimed to provide better Muni service for more people. In the last couple of years, we’ve added new buses, reduced the Muni travel times and improved its on-time performance, which have led to an overall service improvement by 10 percent. It is the most significant service increase since the 1970s. We’re also investing $21 million over this current fiscal year alone to provide discount fares and free passes to low-income seniors, youth and people with disabilities. The free programs currently have about 80,000 active users combined.Click the links below for info about Free Muni:

To get your Clipper Card, visit any Walgreens or go to the Clipper Card Center at the Embarcadero Muni Metro/BART station. An easy way to pay for Muni one trip at a time is on our MuniMobile payment app[Image: muni-price-changes-as-of-2017jul17-page-01_original.png]

I wanted to let you know that there's still plenty of time to sign up for the Landscaping Day this Sunday from Noon to 2PM.

The weather is supposed to be amazing, and we're hoping to have a lot of productive fun in a short period of time.

If you haven't signed up on the simple form - please click here to do so now!

Zone ONE and Zone FIVE currently don't have any sign-ups - so I'm particularly interested in those zones (see the map below).

In advance - thanks for all your help.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.
